TAG Heuer Reveal

Drawing on the brand’s innovative heritage, we unveiled a Connected watch in an immersive launch experience, with sculptural and sensory elements that highlighted the watch as a network between city and nature.

A comprehensive proposal for physical retail spaces was crafted to support the new goals of the Polaroid brand. The goal was to create a flagship for Polaroid that lives between experience, content & conversation, while attracting cognitive participation from the creative community.
GOOGLE BRAND GUIDE

In a brand-wide push to bring cohesion to Google’s spatial and experiential presence, we at Optimist worked to develop a spatial branding guide to aid in the translation and development of core Google tenants to the built environment.
The result was a comprehensive brand guide derived from branding principles, meant to guide both internal and 3rd party vendors in numerous projects from experiential cafes, to large expositions, to pop-up concerts and staged events.

In collaboration with The Projects*, set Designer Simon Costin, and Coach. Together we created four surreal, otherworldly rooms that were devoted to encouraging creativity, consciousness and self-expression.
The Walking Dead

Giant Spoon popped up at San Diego Comic Con 2019 with AMC’s DeadQuarters, an in-world immersive experience featuring the most iconic scenes from The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead universe.
AWAY CHALET

Store design and Art Direction for experiential activation and the campaign rollout of a limited-edition luggage collection by Away. Presentation of the Chalet pieces invoked a retro slope style, but featuring modern, sleek silhouettes and striking hues, just like the collection itself.

Formed from an impossible aesthetic, a new computational design language and fabrication method were adapted to a gallery installation, and later a competition winning entry for the LA Forum. These installations designed and built in collaboration with Oyler Wu synthesized design thinking with stunning execution.
Venice Biennale

Deconstructed wood frames and floating fabric walls float incomplete in space, as a backdrop for a networked interactive exhibit about urbanism in Seoul. For the Venice Architecture Biennale Pavilion at the Giardini, I worked with Haeahn to design around the notion of pedestrian freedom.

During my time as a designer at the think-tank of the South Korean company Haeahn, we designed the expansive Yeosu World Expo campus complete with digital enviornments, lush parks and a custom interactive facade-roof system.

Returning to my hometown, I was provided a unique opportunity to team up with Indigo, a firm I had interned with early in my schooling. I managed a project to transform a local landmark: a mid-century Dairy Queen restaurant into artist studios complete with hand-built architecture and custom furniture.

During my time at SCI-Arc, we produced a factory built, grid-independent home. Conceived from the inside out, we considered the active lifestyle needs of up and coming homebuyers, while maximizing durability, energy consumption, and multifunction.

Hyundai Construction Equipment sales center showcases the precision and intensity that is characteristic of the brand's products. In this project we at Haeahn designed both product platforms with interactive sales kiosks, as well as an informational exhibition framework derived from the visuals of the industrial equipment.
Modular Housing
United States, 2015-2016
Utilizing patented precision factory production, I worked to develop and design mass customized housing. Disassembled modules were designed to adapt to existing container transportation infrastructure, and be assembled onsite within days.
