Live Wire

Conceived and fabricated in collaboration with Oyler Wu, Live Wire was an experimental installation designed in part for architectural function, but also as an exploration into an impossible aesthetic. Derived from environmental and parametric patterns, sinuous aluminum bands woven into structural webs appear to materialize in thin air. The system first served as a grand staircase in the SCI-Arc Gallery, and later a permanent exhibition framework for the Los Angeles Forum.
