The Walking Dead
Giant Spoon popped up at San Diego Comic Con 2019 with AMC’s DeadQuarters, as an in-world immersive experience featuring the most iconic scenes from The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead universe. The exterior of our space replicated various scenes pulled directly from Season 5 of Fear the Walking Dead. Guests immediately see the apocalypse manifested in a plane crash, deserted car, and a makeshift refuge treehouse upon entering DeadQuarters. Between the scattered debris, the belongings of children living among the wreckage, and walkers hidden among the site, we created an interactive environment that guests must navigate, finding various easter eggs from the show throughout. As Comic-Con attendees head into our tent, they confront the elements in order to survive a grizzly experience inspired by Season 9's TWD finale. Guests guided into the harshness of the winter storm are left with a photo of their group enduring the most intense, adrenaline-inducing moment of the experience.
