CHIP (Compact Hyper-Insulated Prototype) is a factory built, grid-independent home designed and manufactured for the 2011 Solar Decathlon. Conceived from the inside out, we considered the active lifestyle needs of up and coming homebuyers, while maximizing durability, energy consumption, and multifunction. Shippable modules sealed together with a proprietary continuous membrane allow for a cavernous open plan as well as delivery onsite and assembly within a day.
